Costs
The first item cost will vary depending on the item £24 - £41 (please see our
fees and charges list). Any additional items are charged at £12.00 each. Payment is taken at the time of booking using a credit or debit card. If you wish to pay by cheque please call us on 0115 981 9911. There are no concessionary rates.
Collection day
On your collection day your item(s) must be left for collection in a visible place at the front of your property from 7am. Please note that if you have a variety of different items these may be collected on different days.
What cannot be collected?
The special collections service does not collect commercial or industrial waste, builders' rubble, paving slabs, hazardous/chemical waste, pesticides, oils, and any items that are too large or heavy (e.g. pianos) to be safely lifted into our vehicles. Also, we cannot collect mirrored wardrobes, any glass items e.g. tables, doors, etc or any mixed metal items e.g. beds, tables, chairs, excluding sofa beds and recliner armchairs.
